My prayer…
…God’s Plan.
It’s one thing when God answers your prayers, but it’s another thing when He goes above and beyond! And my God! He has been going above and beyond!
Romans 8:28 says “All things work for the good to those who love God.” When I tell you, everything has been working in my favor! Everything is really working out for me, and I love it here! I am so grateful, thankful, and blessed!
After my children’s father and I broke up, we were both frustrated, angry, sad, and disappointed. (I mean no surprise here, right?) Those who know how it is raising children in two different households probably know how I feel. I was extremely upset and heartbroken that our breakup started to affect our children. After crying and praying things would go my way (HA! Go figure, right?), I surrendered, prayed again, and told God “I just want my sons to be okay with me and their father’s situation. I trust you. Even if things don’t look the way I want them to, I trust you.” Soon after I surrendered and prayed, things started getting better. My children’s behavior began getting better and me and their father’s behavior toward one another got better as well. We were finally able to coexist in the same room and be cordial for the sake of our children.
As frustrated as I get (and I get frustrated a lot), especially when things don’t look or go the way I want them to, I always go back to my favorite bible verse. Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
No matter what, I know God has a beautiful and prosperous plan for me and for you.
We just have to surrender and put our trust in Him.
