To my favorite coach…
…I see you.
On the field, on the court, in the schoolhouse, and at home.
I just want you to know…
I see you…
The late nights.
The early mornings.
The love behind the exhaustion…I see you.
The way kids look up to you and want to be like you.
Especially the ones you don’t know but they know you…I see you.
The sacrifices you make.
The time you are away from home.
The time on the field and on the court…I see you.
The frustration.
The sadness.
The tears.
The disappointment…I see you.
The times you must stay quiet and trust the process.
The times you shake your head and walk away.
The times you say “I just don’t understand”…I see you.
The happiness.
The excitement.
The thrill you wear inside and out…I see you.
The aches.
The pain.
The way you push through physically when you don’t feel like it and your body is telling you to stop but you don’t…I see you.
The way you adore our sons.
The way you look at them as if your eyes are telling them, “I’m proud of you.”
The way you smile at them.
The way you play with them.
The way you teach them.
The way you go hard for them.
The way you never stop for them…I see you.
The way you show up for other kids.
The players.
The mentees.
The ones you take under your wing because God told you to.
The way you go hard for them.
The way you encourage them.
The way you spend time with them.
The way you teach them.
The way you never give up on them…I see you.
The way you work in your purpose.
Stand in your purpose.
On purpose.
Because God said this is your purpose.
And it is beautiful to witness…I see you.
The way you love me.
The way you support me.
The way you’re so in tuned with me.
The way you express your love to me.
The way you never stop for me.
The way you don’t play about me.
The way you put my ring on me.
The way you signed, sealed, and delivered your promise to me is such a blessing.
I love you and…I see you.
When times get tough.
When times get lonely.
When times get dark.
When times get unbearable.
When times get to be too heavy.
I want you to always remember…
I have your back, both sides, and your front.
You are never alone.
You got me and I got you.
I pray that you always remember that…
….I see you.
I love you forever.
Love your present and your future.
